OZARK, Mo. (AP) -- A Christian County judge plans to decide soon whether the children of a man accused of killing his wife will be present at their father's trial.
Judge John S. Waters took up a motion hearing Thursday in which the Christian County prosecutor presented evidence suggesting two of the three children of Aaron and Bailey Clemons should not have to testify in their father's trial.
Aaron Clemons is charged with first-degree murder in the June 16 death of his wife, Bailey Clemons.
The Springfield News-Leader reports the judge plans to make a decision by Friday, Aug. 8.
Clemons' preliminary hearing in associate circuit court is set for Sept. 25. He's been in custody since his arrest.
