Bradford completely over torn ACL that ended 2013 season

(FootballStL) -- In late October against the Carolina Panthers, Sam Bradford ran to the far sideline to escape trouble in the pocket. It was a decision he’ll regret forever. A torn ACL in his left knee ended what was quickly becoming the best season of his brief career.
Now, he’s trying to make a full recovery and be that guy again.
Bradford wears a brace on his knee. One would think it’s new as a result of the injury. But that’s apparently not the case.
“No. I mean I’ve worn this brace since college. So I don’t really notice it. It’s funny all the other quarterbacks they have to wear them now, too, and they kind of complain. But, I’m like if you wear it for a while it kind of goes away,” Bradford says.
Jeff Fisher said his quarterback was the star of the Fan Fest today at the Edward Jones Dome. He said Bradford’s ball was “humming” on deep throws to Kenny Britt and others during the scrimmage.
That’s all well and good for once the season starts and he’s actually throwing the football. But how about when no one is open like that play against Carolina and he’s forced to run? Will Bradford be hesitant to put himself in that situation again?
“No. I mean, you’ve got to be the same quarterback. Obviously, I think I’ll be a little smarter about getting down. If there’s anyone in my vicinity, I’ll probably slide and get to the next play. But, you know you can’t be afraid to take off and run. It’s part of the position. Part of the game,” Bradford said.
