(KMOV) – Five people have been arrested in connection with the robbery and beating of an 82-year-old man near Swedeborg Friday.
According to a news release, the final suspect was arrested Tuesday morning. The investigation also led to the arrest of five other people being sought for other crimes.
The victim, an 82-year-old veteran, was attacked at his home in Pulaski County. Police said the suspects then got away in the victim’s van before abandoning it on a farm near the Gasconade River.
“This individual can do this to an 82-year-old disabled handicapped man, he can do something like this to anyone no matter what their age. Whoever did this is a danger to everyone out there,” said Pulaski County Sheriff Ronald Long when interviewed Monday by News 4.
Some of the victim’s property was recovered as well as firearms used in other offenses.
The victim is listed in critical condition.
