ST, CLAIR, Mo. (KMOV) – Police in Franklin County, Missouri are continuing their search for a man who eluded police during a vehicle chase Thursday morning, according to a news release Monday.
Police said they received a call about a suspicious man who was driving a red Dodge Intrepid in the Oak Ridge Estates subdivision of Neff Road in St. Clair.
A responded officer recognized the driver of the vehicle as Timothy Maddux, 36, of St. Clair. The officer knew Maddux had a felony warrant for his arrest on a probation violation and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
Police said that’s when Maddux fled, leading the officer on a pursuit on Neff Road, Bardot Street and eventually going behind the Edgar Murray School playground. The officer lost sight of Maddux shortly after.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office then joined the search for Maddux, but did not find him.
Anyone who knows of Maddux’s whereabouts is asked to call police.
