( - The husband of a missing Ste. Genevieve County woman is making a plea for help.

Lynn Messer, 52, went missing from her Ste. Genevieve County farm July 8. Police said she has a broken toe but did not have her walking boot with her when she went missing.

"I want to speak to Lynn, if you're out there and can see this, we love you and we're searching for you," Kerry Messer said. “I want to you know we’re searching and we will not stop until we find you.”

Kerry said volunteers have already searched an area of roughly 1300 acres. Messer’s home is surrounded by thousands of acres of woods. The Ste. Genevieve County Sherriff is asking for other volunteers who live nearby to help in the search.

“They can search their own property, look in outbuildings in the immediate area, anything would help,’ said Detective Austin Clark with the Ste. Genevieve County Sherriff’s Office.

Tuesday, investigators set up checkpoints along the Route DD near Messer’s farm from 12:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m., hoping someone in the area would have information that might help the investigation.

“We are flowing up on leads from a roadblock or checkpoint that the sheriff’s department set up to speak with motorists who travel through the area at the time Messer went missing,” said Juston Wheetley with Missouri Highway Patrol.

A Facebook page is being used to coordinate volunteers to conduct more searches.
