Teen charged with robbing woman at gunpoint in JC Penney parking lot

(KMOV)—A teen has been charged in last month’s JC Penney parking lot robbery in St. Louis County.
 
Jerry Roberson, 19, was charged with 1st degree robbery and armed criminal action.
 
Authorities told News 4 a female victim entered her vehicle in the JC Penney parking lot in the 6900 block of South Lindbergh. As she entered her vehicle, a truck pulled in beside her vehicle and Roberson exited the truck and opened the victim’s car door. Roberson produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse. Roberson took the purse before fleeing the area in the truck being driven by another person.
 
The driver of the truck has not been identified.
