Belleville attorney disbarred at his own request

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Illinois Supreme Court has granted a Belleville attorney's request that it revoke his license after he was accused of using $25,000 of clients' estate money on himself.

John F. Pawloski requested disbarment last month, and the Illinois Supreme Court allowed it last week.

The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission has accused Pawloski of unauthorized use of estate money when he was working as a guardian of adults unable to care for themselves. The charges also included accepting payment from some clients and not delivering services, plus unauthorized practice of law during the two months last year he wasn't registered with the ARDC. He hasn't been charged criminally.
