Strawberry Jam -

Strawberry Jam


1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup water
3 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 pounds strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

 Place all the ingredients in the order listed in a large saucepan.
Bring to a full boil; boil for 10 to 15 minutes.  Remove from the heat, cool and store in the refrigerator.
