ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis man has been convicted for his role in a robbery in which two people were killed and a pregnant woman was wounded.
Jurors returned the guilty verdict against 27-year-old Jerome W. Jones on Friday in St. Louis.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 18 for two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree assault and four counts of armed criminal action.
Forty-seven-year-old Jivabhai Patel of Chesterfield and 60-year-old Barbara Abeln of Arnold were killed in what prosecutors described as a "cold-blooded massacre." Patel was an owner and Abeln an employee of Rock Bottom Wholesale.
Key testimony came from Nimisha Patel, who was was five months pregnant when she was wounded. Her unborn baby also survived the May 2008 attack.
