St. Louis police officer sentenced for misusing drug money

St. Louis (KMOV) -- A St. Louis police officer is sentenced to 28 months in prison for misusing seized drug money.

 

Bobby Garrett is charged with wire fraud and theft of goverment funds.

 

Garrett was assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit, which handles auto theft, burglary and narcotics charges.

 

Prosecutors say Garrett and two other officers stole money during drug raid, then lied about it after the fact.
