(KMOV) -- Officials believe a piece of furniture may have helped a fire spread throughout a north St. Louis home Monday morning.
According to authorities, the fire started in a home in the 4100 block of Natural Bridge Road around 2 a.m. Firefighters were seen removing a charred piece of furniture from the home. Officials said that piece of furniture somehow caught fire. The fire then spread to other parts of the home.
It's not known how many people were home at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt.
Investigators are now trying to determine what caused the piece of furniture to ignite.
