ST. CHARLES, Missouri (KMOV.com) -- One person was hospitalized after the driver of a pick-up truck wrecked near a Quick Trip gas station in St. Charles on Thursday.
According to St. Charles police, the accident happened near the intersection of North Kingshighway and Elm Street around 6 a.m.
Authorities did not say how the driver lost control.
When crews arrived, they discovered power lines down on the street. North Kingshighway was shut down in both directions while crews cleared the accident and replaced the downed wires.
The driver of the pick-up, who was alert when emergency crews arrived, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
It was not known if anyone else was in the vehicle or if any other vehicles were involved.
