BELLEVILLE, Illinois – A man was arrested after he admitted to breaking into a house and threatening a homeowner in Belleville, Illinois on March 8.
Andrew Chapman, 31, was charged with felony intimidation and criminal trespassing.
According to police, Chapman broke into a home in the 200 block of South Pennsylvania around 6:20 a.m.
Police said Chapman walked up to the homeowner and threatened to shoot him in the head. The victim fled from the home and ran over to a neighbor’s house, where he called police.
The victim was not injured.
Authorities said Chapman then turned himself into authorities and was charged.
His bond was set at $40,000
