(KMOV)—Police charged a Kirkwood man after he was allegedly involved in a shooting Thursday evening.
Authorities charged Kenneth Tatum, 21, with two counts of 1st Degree Assault, two counts of Armed Criminal Action and one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon following a shooting near the intersection of Saratoga Street and Orleans Street at 10: 40 p.m.
According to police, officers near the location spotted a vehicle speeding from the area; the driver stopped and notified the officers that his vehicle had been shot at and his male passenger suffered a gunshot wound.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and released the driver without incident.
Detectives arrested Tatum on Friday afternoon and charges were issued on Saturday.
He is currently being held on $250,000 cash only bond at the St. Louis County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives work out the details of this shooting.
