(KMOV) – The Missouri National Guard spent more than $117,000 on aerial tours of storm damage for Governor Jay Nixon and his administration. The Associated Press investigation found taxpayers will foot the bill.
The National Guard has asked FEMA to cover 75% of the tab.
AP records show Nixon took about 10 helicopter flights between April and July 2011 looking at everything from flooding to the damage from the Joplin tornado.
