(KMOV) --- Metro is tweaking its MetroLink operations to allow time for maintenance work to be completed over the blue and red lines, which could create minor delays for some customers.
Beginning at 8 p.m. every night from February 20th – February 23rd, rail grinding crews will work on tracks between the Belleville Station and the College MetroLink Station. Metro says red line customers could experience delays up to ten minutes; the blue line is not expected to be affected by the work.
Metro says on Friday, February 24th, beginning at 8:30 p.m., MetroLink will only operate a single track at Union Station and the Civic Center MetroLink Station until the end of services so crew can replace wiring in the Union Station tunnel.
Blue line service will only operate between Shrewsbury and the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station. Officials say customers should allow an extra 5 – 10 minutes for their Friday night commutes.
MetroLink on the weekend of February 25-26th, will operate a single track at the College MetroLink Station until the end of service each night so rail grinding crews can work on the tracks between College and the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Station.
Metro says red line customers can expect delays up to ten minutes while blue line customers will not be affected by the work.
