(KMOV) – Police confirm that DeMarcus Dorris, 24, and Andrew Edmonds have been charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking for allegedly robbing a stranded family in Washington Park after their vehicle ran out of gas on 4500 block of Bunkum Road in January.

Police say after the stranded family was robbed at gunpoint by the suspects, they waited for other family members to return with a can of gas and robbed them too. The two men then filled the car with the can of gas and fled the scene with the vehicle according to police.

Dorris is being held on a $750,000 bond, his accomplice Edmonds is being held on a $2 million bond in the St. Clair County Jail.
