(KMOV) -- Three people escaped a house fire late Sunday night in Arnold, Missouri.
According to authorities, the fire started around 10:45 p.m. Sunday inside a home in the 2800 block of Pomme Meadows Drive off Troy. Three people were inside the house when it caught fire, but according to the Red Cross, seven people live in the house. Paramedics treated one of the residents for minor burns. That person did not have to go to the hospital.
The extreme heat from the fire damaged some siding on a neighboring home.
It took firefigthters from the Rock Community Fire Protection District about 45 minutes to get the fire out. While we were doing live reports outside the home, we saw firefighter have to pull their ladder back out and spray water from above as smoke started billowing from the second floor again.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and investigators said they do not think it is suspicious.
