Police offer $5,000 reward in armed robbery case

(KMOV) – The Chesterfield Police Department is asking the public for help and offering a reward of $5,000 in identifying a suspect from an armed robbery case which took place Thursday night, just after 10:15 p.m. in the 13000 block of LaBarge. Police say the suspect went to the home of a jewelry store owner and pointed a gun demanding jewelry.

The victim says he and his wife gave the suspect various items of jewelry from the home. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police say they think the suspect may have had prior interaction with the victim who works in the jewelry business.

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 35-40 years of age, 5’ 10” – 6’ 0”, and 160-180 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, camouflage jacket and baggy blue jeans.

Chesterfield Police say they are offering a reward of $5,000, paid for by local businesses and the Pawnbrokers Association, for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
