WILDWOOD, Mo. (AP) -- The St. Louis area's only ski resort is planning to expand.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Hidden Valley ski area plans a $2 million expansion this summer that will add 30 percent more skiable terrain. The expansion will also include a new four-person chair and lift and a 2,000-foot ski run -- 500 feet longer than Hidden Valley's longest existing run.
Hidden Valley plans to add about 20 new jobs after the expansion is complete. It currently employs more than 200 people.
