Judge rules against Missouri school district for blocking certain social issues

(KMOV) -- A central Missouri school district must discontinue its use of an internet filtering system that systematically blocks the pro lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community after a judge ruled against the issue on February 15.

Experts testified against the Camdenton R-III School District stating that the filtering discriminated against LGBT, failed to block sexually explicit content as comprehensive as other filtering systems and it did not meet professional standards.

The Central Missouri school district wants the students to have access to information on both sides of important social issues.
