(KMOV.com) -- A 22-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in the hand while talking to friends in north St. Louis.
Police said the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon, just before 5 p.m. in the 5300 block of North Kingshighway Boulevard. According to reports, the victim was outside his home, talking to two friends who were inside a car. The victim told police that someone a short distance away emerged and started shooting at him. The victim was struck in the hand.
After the shooting, the suspect ran and entered a grey Pontiac with tinted windows.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where doctors indicated he was stable. Nobody else was injured in the shooting. Police are now looking for the suspect and the get away vehicle.
