Man gets 12 years in meth-making case

EDWARDSVILLE - A judge Thursday sentenced an Edwardsville man to 12 years in prison for making methamphetamine after noting the defendant had three prior felony convictions and was out on probation on one of those convictions when police raided his home July 8, 2007.

Associate Judge James Hackett noted defendant Robert Stoces, 38, of the 500 block of North Buchanan Street, was out on probation on a 2006 charge of methamphetamine possession when police arrested a dozen people at his home.
