(KMOV) -- Another delay for a Union representing Illinois workers wanting to be paid by the state has landed both parties in federal court this afternoon.
AFSCME, who represents workers caught into the middle of Illinois' budget troubles, filed a motion in St. Clair County to force the state to pay workers on their regularly scheduled payday of July 15. However at this hour, News 4 has learned lawyers from Illinois have filed a motion to move the hearing to Federal Court in East St. Louis.
News 4 reports the AFSCME is aggravated and disappointed with another delay. The state said this matter was not in St. Clair's jurisdiction and was a federal matter.
