ESPN: Georgia offers head coaching job to Mizzou's Coach Anderson

(KMOV) -- A school from the South wants Mizzou's Mike Anderson to be its new head basketball coach, but MU leaders are saying, not so fast.

According to ESPN, the University of Georgia has offered Anderson a multi-year contract at about $2 million per year.

Mizzou Athletic Director Mike Alden will meet with Anderson on Tuesday and is expected to offer a five-year contract extension at about $1.3 million per year.

Anderson is also believed to be a candidate for the Memphis job if Coach John Calipari takes the head coaching job at Kentucky.
