Historic Lindbergh site discovered

GODFREY - Aviation enthusiast Francis Crivello, 93, has been looking a long time for the remains of the Godfrey beacon tower and arrow that guided Charles Lindbergh when he flew the mail between St. Louis and Chicago for 10 months in 1926.

Crivello's search ended recently when he received a call from Arnold Saaf, church historian for the Godfrey First United Methodist Church.
