(KMOV) – A suspect was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at another man during an argument inside a local hospital parking garage on Tuesday.
William Hopper Jr., 34, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, a felony.
According to court documents, Hopper and another man began arguing in the parking garage at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights after the victim parked in a spot Hopper was trying to back in to.
Authorities said during the argument, Hopper pointed a gun at the victim out of his driver’s side window.
Hopper was apprehended a short time later and identified by the victim. Police said a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol was found in his glove compartment.
Police said Hopper later admitted to pointing the gun at the victim, but said he was trying to protect himself because the victim was acting aggressively.
