(KMOV) – Ameren Missouri officials say most of the thousands of customers without power after Wednesday’s severe storms should have it restored by sunset Friday.
Officials say just more than 5,500 customers still did not have power Friday morning and that a few customers in the North County area hit hardest by the storms could be without electricity until the evening.
At one point, more than 43,000 customers did not have power.
The company said it had 900 workers scattered throughout the St. Louis area trying to get electricity restored.
“At this point, if your neighbors have power and you don’t, please let us know by reporting the outage at AmerenMissouri.com or contacting Customer Service,” said Michael Moehn, senior vice president of customer operations. “Sometimes during the restoration process, a single home may be left without power and can go undetected.”
