(KMOV) – Centreville residents are blaming the Commonfield of Cahokia Water District for only offering temporary solutions to raw sewage coming up through their toilets.
Concerned residents say the concern is not financially-driven, they just want answers to what the problem is.
"I don’t want anything," Cheri Branson Allen. "I want the bigger problem fixed. I’m told it’s not just us, it’s the community.”
The utility company would not tell News 4 what the problem is.
Residents were planning to get some answers at the water district’s monthly meeting Wednesday night but it was canceled.
