(KMOV.com) -- Grant School District 110 in Fairview Heights will not say any revenue from a proposed tax increase Tuesday.
The measure, which sought to move property taxes from 1.42 percent to 2.27 percent failed 52 to 48.
The district has about 750 students kindergarten through 8 th grade. A couple years ago the district’s budget was about $9 million and it cut more than a million dollars from that.
The district had said if the tax hike did not pass, it would have to borrow money to get through the next school year.
