(KMOV.com) -- Family members mourning a Texas prosecutor and his wife say not enough was being done to keep the couple safe.
Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia were shot to death in their home on March 31 just two months after another prosecutor from the same office was gunned down near the courthouse.
A family spokesperson said they want the FBI to take over the investigation of all three deaths.
“The family’s pretty much at the edge of its seat with some anger at this point that more was not being done,” said Spokesperson Chris Heisler, “The reward money that’s out right now is $200,000. I think that’s insignificant.”
They want to see a $1 million reward so they can get more tips.
The interim district attorney now serving that county is under 24 hour protection.
