(KMOV.com) -- A St. Louis man was charged Thursday with robbing a woman after she refused to give him her number.
According to police documents, Ronald Burns, 22, approached the victim in a store in the 5000 block of Virginia Avenue.
When burns asked the woman for her number, she refused and he left the store.
The victim eventually left the store as well, and that’s when Burns reportedly drove up, pointed a gun at her and demanded her belongings.
After a police investigation, Burns was named as a suspect. The victim later identified him as her assailant and her cell phone was found to be in his possession.
Burns was on bond for stealing a credit card and has prior convictions for possession of controlled substance and distributing a controlled substance near a school.
He was charged with robbery and armed criminal action in connection with the incident.
