Adams second career home run is a mammoth shot

HOUSTON (BaseballStL) – St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams does not care about the random hill or flag pole in centerfield at Minute Maid Park – he will hit over it.

Adams cranked a three-run home run over the centerfield wall, which stands 436 feet away from home plate, off Astros starter Lucas Harrell on Tuesday night.  The home run was measured at 445 feet.

At the time, the third inning home run cut the Astros’ lead to 6-4.
