O’FALLON, Missouri (KMOV) -- How tall grass is allowed to grow on properties in O’Fallon could be changing soon.
Like many other cities, O’Fallon has regulations on exactly how high grass is allowed to get without being cut. It completely depends on how big the lot is.
But many O’Fallon residents lately are pushing for change, particularly on Highway K near Bryan and Mexico roads.
The current ordinance says on lots less than two acres, grass cannot exceed eight inches. But on some commercial lots, it may be getting longer than that.
The city council of O’Fallon is going to take a look at making the restrictions much tighter.
The city says every year they get calls from residents about uncut grass, so it’s not the first time O’Fallon has looked into changing the ordinance.
