ST. LOUIS - MoDOT will close all westbound lanes on Interstate-64 between the Poplar Street Bridge and Jefferson starting Friday night.
The lane closures are to shift traffic onto the newly-replaced concrete.
MoDOT crews will close all westbound I-64 lanes at the Poplar Street Bridge beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The closure is planned for about an hour and a half after the Cardinals home game begins against the Cleveland Indians. The 10th Street and 14th Street ramps to westbound I-64 will stay open.
Crews will have one lane open by 6 a.m. Saturday morning and a second lane open before noon. After noon, the far left lane on eastbound I-64 will be closed. Traffic will be in the two right lanes and separated by concrete barriers.
MoDOT says motorists will experience delays during this construction and are encouraged to use alternate routes. For detours, MoDOT suggests that drivers should use I-44 and Jefferson.
