ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- MoDOT is trying to fix traffic backups along a stretch of Manchester Road from Rock Hill to Wildwood.
Officials said engineers are hoping small adjustments to 40 stoplights will make a difference.
Drivers who use Highway 141 and Manchester Road are familiar with backups. MoDOT says it’s not because of the stoplights on 141, but because of the backups on Manchester.
“If you’re trying to get to 270, or you’re trying to get to 141, it can be backed up for a long time,” said Ballwin resident Bill Kotowski. “My office is here, and sometimes it can take me up to an hour to get four miles.”
MoDOT says its engineers are studying almost 15 miles of Manchester road.
