(KMOV)—Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found shot to death inside his north St. Louis home early Friday morning.
Police say James M. Johnson, 50, was shot in the chest on the 4200 block of Randall Place at 1:30 a.m.
An investigation into the shooting revealed Johnson and a 17-year-old male suspect had been in an argument before the suspect opened fire.

According to the reports, the suspect is related to Johnson. Officials have not released the suspect’s identity at this time.
Johnson was rushed to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
