ST. CLAIR, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police say a case of road rage turned into a drive-by shooting in Franklin County last Sunday night.
According to police, a car on a two-lane highway drifted across the center line, forcing an oncoming vehicle to swerve to avoid an accident. During the incident, the driver of the oncoming car reportedly recognized the distracted driver.
Afterwards, police say the driver who swerved to avoid the wreck picked up Jordan Johnson-Tapp, 19, and drove to the home of the driver who had crossed the center line.
Without warning, Johnson-Tapp allegedly fired several gunshots into the car and house of the other driver, while three people were inside.
The two adults and 9-year-old were not hit by gunfire, but a woman in the home suffered minor injuries from broken glass.
The alleged gunman was later arrested and his weapon found hidden in a cemetery.
Johnson-Tapp has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
