(KMOV.com) -- Are social networking sites like Facebook wrecking marriages?
In a survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, more than 80 percent of lawyers say social media sites are being used as evidence in divorce cases.
"People might have less anxiety about connecting and believe they are not breaking barriers or boundaries that they are really breaking," said Dr. Kristopher Kaliebe of LSU Psychiatry.
These seemingly innocent forms of communication can sometimes lead to divorce.
"Be it Twitter, Facebook, any of those outlets," said Andrea Augustus, a family and divorce attorney. "They are resulting in an increase in divorce because its much harder to control oneself if you think you're dealing with something that's private."
