CHICAGO -- The FBI has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of killing his new bride.
Authorities say they are concentrating their search for Arnoldo Jimenez in Mexico in the state of Durango.
Jimenez married Estrella Carrera on May 11 in Chicago. He allegedly stabbed her to death just hours later in her suburban apartment. Her body was found still clad in the silver sequined cocktail dress she wore to celebrate their wedding.
Capt. Joseph Ford of the Burbank Police Department says investigators have received more than 450 tips about Jimenez’ whereabouts, including sightings of his 2006 Maserati.
Searchers are focusing on the area of Santiago Papasquiaro (pah PAH’ skee ah roh), a Mexican town of about 48,000 people.
