(KMOV.com) -- Inspectors were called to a vacant building in north St. Louis Thursday morning after a van plowed into the side of it.
Authorities said the accident happened in the 5300 block of Union Boulevard around 1:30 a.m.
When officer arrived on the scene, they found the crashed van, but nobody inside. Just before the accident, police report there was a call for a car that had fired shots at a van fitting a similar description.
It is not known how many people were in the van at the time of the crash or if anyone was injured.. The building the van hit was vacant and inspectors were called to check if there was any structural damage.
Police continue to investigate.
