Teen arrested in connection to Crestwood armed robbery

CRESTWOOD, Mo. (KMOV) – A 17-year-old armed robbery suspect was arrested Monday afternoon in connection to an incident in the parking lot of a Crestwood store.

The male suspect was arrested without a struggle in the 3800 block of Wyoming in St. Louis City.  Police had been investigating an armed robbery incident which occurred in the parking lot of a Kohl’s store on May 12.

According to police, a 32-year-old female customer was approached by two suspects in a green Chevrolet Impala when one suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse.

Area detectives have been coordinating their efforts to identify other suspects involved in two similar incidents in south St. Louis County and Shrewsbury.

The suspect will remain unidentified until formal charges are completed with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
