ST. LOUIS (BaseballStL) – The scouting report on Matt Holliday right now: just don’t pitch to him.
Since June 16, Holliday has been on an unbelievable tear batting .500 (30-for-60) with four home runs and 18 RBIs, including a two-run home run on Tuesday.
If those numbers weren’t an indication of why pitchers shouldn’t throw to him then maybe the “G” from the Big Mac Land sign should be enough. Holliday knocked the “G” out during batting practice prior to Tuesday’s night game against the Rockies.
The power has finally caught up to Holliday’s hot streak as he has smacked home runs in each of his last two games to bring his season total to 14.
