ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- When it comes to patrolling the highways, troopers are taking an aggressive approach this Fourth of July.
The Missouri Highway Patrol will station a trooper every 20 miles on I-44 and I-70.
So if those planning a road trip should watch their speeds.
Troopers say work zones won’t be the only thing slowing down drivers.
“What people are going to notice is a lot more traffic,” said Trooper Al Nothum. “Some of these interstates are going to be like parking lots especially in the peak hours of travel.”
Troopers will be looking for aggressive drivers, speeders and drivers following too closely.
