Former St. Louis radio host sentenced to life in prison

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A former St. Louis radio talk show host has been sentenced to life in prison in the killing of a 28-year-old woman.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Leonardo Drisdel was sentenced Friday in St. Louis Circuit Court for first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Prosecutors said Drisdel beat, slashed and bit 28-year-old Cassandra Kovack at her home in June 2005.

Investigators have said Drisdel confessed to his wife that he took drugs with Kovack and attacked her because a voice ordered him to kill her.

Drisdel used to host "The Human Factor" show at WGNU Radio.
