KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A woman is in custody in after police said she took a non-related child from the St. Louis area to Colorado.
Kansas City police announced early Saturday that the 5-year-old is safe. The department had said late Friday that the child was believed to be in Kansas City in a car with Kansas license plates.
Police initially said a 25-year-old woman took the child without consent and that they feared for his safety. They said the child and suspect aren't related biologically.
