Raw: Building damaged after tires catch fire in south St. Louis County

MEHLVILLE, Mo. (KMOV)—Tires caught fire behind a tire and auto business in South St. Louis County just after midnight on Tuesday.

According to fire officials, minimal damage was done to Adams Tire and Auto after a group of tires caught fire behind the building in the 3600 block of Lemay Ferry Road around 12:15 a.m.

No one was injured and fire fighters did not have to evacuate surrounding apartments while fighting the fire.

No word on how it started at this time.
