Woman arrested after allegedly robbing St. Louis-area bank

WARRENTON, Mo. (KMOV) – A woman is in custody after she allegedly robbed a bank in Warrenton on Tuesday.

Police said the suspect entered the First State Community Bank in the 10000 block of North Highway 47 and walked up to the teller.

Authorities said she handed over an envelope demanding 100 and 20 dollar bills.

Police said the suspect was handed an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene south on Highway 47 toward I-70.

Police said was apprehended about 45 minutes later in Kingdom City, located about 20 miles from Columbia, Mo.

According to the arresting officer, the suspect was allegedly intoxicated at the time of her arrest.

Police searched the woman’s hotel room, where they found a substantial amount of cash.
