BERKELEY, Mo.—Police in the St. Louis suburb of Berkeley says a 45-year-old man found dead near a business was a roofer likely killed in a 30-foot fall on the job.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that an autopsy is scheduled to pinpoint what killed the man whose body was found Sunday near the roofing vehicle and a ladder.
His name hasn’t yet been released.
Berkeley Police Chief Frank McCall Jr. says the man worked for a roofing company that was to give an estimate on roof work.
No one witnessed the accident, but police say they presume that man missed the ladder or fell from the roof.
