METRO EAST (KMOV.com) -- The Cahokia Police Department is asking the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a robbery.

On Wednesday around 12:25pm, a black male subject entered the Scott Credit Union located at 3413 Mississippi Ave in Cahokia, Illinois and handed a teller a note indicating he was robbing them and demanding money be placed in a bag.

The teller complied with the subject preventing any harm to herself, other employees, and customers.

The subject fled the credit union with an unknown amount of money and was seen entering a maroon Dodge / Plymouth style van.

The vehicle was last seen traveling north bound on Mississippi Ave.

The suspect was approximately 6 foot tall and slender.  He was wearing dark shorts, black V neck style shirt, and a red ball cap (possibly Washington Nationals team hat).

Please call (618)337-9505 with information.
